This 1966 Ford Mustang GT coupe was manufactured at the Metuchen assembly plant in Edison, New Jersey and is powered by an A-code 289ci V8 paired with a 3-speed Cruise-O-Matic automatic transmission. The car has been repainted in its original Springtime Yellow, and factory options include a black vinyl roof, front disc brakes, an 8-track player, and the GT package. Approximately 400 miles have been driven over the seller’s three-year ownership, during which service included a tune-up as well a replacement of the intake manifold gasket. This Mustang is offered with a clean New Jersey title.
The body was refinished in its original Springtime Yellow (8) under previous ownership, and the finish is accented by a black vinyl roof. GT cosmetics consist of a grille bar, integrated fog lamps, stripes in place of rocker moldings, and dual exhausts exiting from the rear valance.
A cove pinstripe is integrated into the rocker panel graphics package. Styled steel 14″ wheels are wrapped in redline tires. The GT package added suspension improvements and front disc brakes.
Parchment vinyl bucket seats feature green accents and are equipped with retractable lap belts. The cabin is equipped with a full-length center console, a GT fog light switch, and an 8-track radio. Round gauges are trimmed in faux wood and include a 5-digit odometer showing approximately 72k miles.
The A-code 289ci V8 features a 4-barrel carburetor and chrome rocker covers. Service completed by the seller reportedly included a tune-up with new spark plugs, ignition wires, and distributor parts as well as a coolant flush and intake manifold gasket replacement.
